All the mutations are harmful.
Mutations are the sudden heritable changes in the DNA of an organism. Few mutations are harmful while some are useful. For example: certain mutations can cause uncontrolled cell division, thus causing cancer which is harmful. On the other hand, mutation in haemoglobin results in the change in its shape and protects the organism from malaria.
Mutations bring variations in characters with respect to the parental generation and thereby has resulted in evolution.
