Solution

It is beacuse deserts like Thar desert are situated mostly in the central India heats up cosiderably and it causes a low pressure over the northern and central indian subcontinent. And the moisture laden winds from the indian ocean rush into the subcontinent which is blocked by the himalayas pssing into the central asia causing less rainfall.
