The altitude of a triangle will touch the opposite side of the vertex at the midpoint because in equilateral triangle, angle bisector, altitude and median for all sides are same.
Hence, QS=SR=a2
Now, consider the right-angled triangle △PQR.
PQ is the hypoteneuse of the triangle. ∴a2=h2+(a2)2 ⇒a2−a24=h2 ⇒34a2=h2 ⇒a2=43h2
(takeing square root both side) ⇒a=2√3h
∴ Dimension of each side of the equilateral triangle is 2√3h unit.
