Aman's age is three times his son's age. Ten years ago he was five times his son's age. Find their present ages.

Let Aman's son age be x years
and, Aman present age =3x
10 yrs ago: Aman's son age =(x10)
Aman age=(3x10)

According to the question, we have
Aman age 10 years ago =5× his son's age at that time

(3x10)=5×(x10)

(3x10)=5x50

5x3x=5010

2x=40

x=20

so, Aman's present age =3×20=60 years and his son's present age =20 years.
