Aman’s age is three times his son’s age. Ten years ago he was five times his son’s age. Find their present ages.

Let the age of Aman’s son be x years.

Let the age of Aman will be 3x years.

According to the given details, the equation becomes

5(x10)=3x105x50=3x105x3x=-10+502x=40x=20

Therefore, Aman’s son age =x=20 years

and, Aman's age =3x=3×20=60 years

Hence, the present age of Aman is 60 years and present age of Aman's son is 20 years.
