Dear student,

Amines are basic and alcohols are acidic in nature.
Alcohols have electron withdrawing functional group while amines have electron donating functional group.
Therefore, electron donating groups increases basicity and decreases acidity and electron withdrawing groups increase acidity and decrease basicity.
Alcohols dissociates to give H+ ions in aqueous solutions but amines do not.
The nitrogen of amines have tendency to donate electrons while oxygen of alcohols have tendency to gain.
Therefore, amines are basic than alcohols.
