Given: Side of square plot $=m$, and Both height and base of triangular plot $=m$

Area of square plot $=m^2[\because$ Area of square $=\left(side{)}^2\right]$

Area of triangular plot $=\frac{1}{2}\times m\times m=\frac{m^2}{2}[\because$ Area of triangle $=\frac{1}{2}\times base\times height]$

$\therefore$ Total area of both plots $=$ Area of square plot $+$ Area of triangular plot
$=m^2+\frac{m^2}{2}$

$=\frac{2m^2+m^2}{2}$

$=\frac{3m^2}{2}$
