then,amit's age will be $(20+x)$ years and leela's age will be $(4+x)$

At that time ,Amit's age will be twice

$(20+x)=2\times (4+x)$

$(20+x)=8+22x$

$x=12$

After $12$ years Amit will be twice as old as leela after 12 years,

Amit's age=$20+12=32$

Leela's age =$4+12=16$
