The correct option is A 22 hours
Time for the journey of 1000 kms $= \frac{1000}{50} = 20 h o u r s$
As Amit takes 20 minutes rest after 3 hours so,
Total 20 min rest in 20 hours journey $= \frac{20}{3} \approx 6$
Extra time to arrive Delhi $= 6 \times 20 = 120 m i n = 2 h o u r s$
So,
Total time for the journey $= 20 + 2 = 22 h o u r s$
Hence in 22 hours Amit will arrive Delhi from Patna.
