Open in App
Solution

Let Rs. x be Amit's old salary.

His salary after increment will be Rs. (x+20100x)

According to the question, we have:

x+20100x=30600

100x+20x100=30600 [ LCM =100]

120x100=30600

120x=30600×100

x=30600×100120

x=25500

The old salary was Rs. 25500.
