Solution

Dear Student,
The equation for the above question will be,
(NH4)2SO4 (aq)+ Ca(OH)2 (s) → CaSO4 (s) + NH3 (aq)+ H2O (l)
Ca = 1 Ca = 1
N = 2 N = 1
H = 10 H = 5
S = 1 S = 1
O = 6 O = 5
so,Now we balance this according to the equation by equating the atoms both the side.
After balancing,the equation is:
(NH4)2SO4 (aq) + Ca(OH)2 (s) → CaSO4 (s) + 2NH3 (aq) + 2H2O (l)
This is an acid base reaction. Ca(OH)2 is a base,(NH4)2SO4 is an acid.
Regards.
