Solution

1: Introduction
Reproductive phase is the phase of life in which an organism is reproductively active and can produce offspring.

2: Types of animals
Animals can be categorised into two categories on the basis of breeding season:
● Seasonal breeders:
Animals which are reproductively active for only a certain time period of a year or in a certain season.
● Continuous breeders:
Animals which are reproductively active throughout the year irrespective of season.

3: Birds, frogs and lizards as seasonal breeders
Birds, frogs and lizards are seasonal breeders having specific breeding seasons. Hence, they don't lay eggs throughout the year making it a seasonal phenomenon.
Birds in captivity are made to lay eggs for commercial purposes by administering hormones artificially throughout the year.
