Question

among the alkali metals which is most electronegative

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

Electronegativity increases on going from left to right across a period and decreases on going from top to bottom in a group. Therefore, electronegativity decreases on going from top to bottom in alkali metals. Hence, the first element of the alkali metal is the most electronegative. So, Lithium is the most electronegative element in alkali metals.
