Among the following, which one depicts the correct circulatory pathway?
Vena cava → right atrium → right ventricle → lungs → left atrium → left ventricle → aorta
The blood enters the heart through two large veins, the inferior and superior vena cava, emptying deoxygentaed blood from the different parts of the body into the right atrium. As the atrium contracts, blood flows from the right atrium into the right ventricle through the open tricuspid valve. It moves to the lungs through the pulmonary artery. Oxygen is absorbed into the blood from the lungs. The oxygenated blood that reaches the heart through pulmonary veins, is supplied to all parts of the body through the aorta.
