Solution

The correct option is D Reduces permanaganate to Mn2+
Oxalic acid present in a solution can be determined by its titration withKMnO4 solution in the presence of H2SO4
2KMnO4+3H2SO4+5H2C2O4K2SO4+2MnSO4+10CO2+5H2O
Titration cannot be done in the presence of HCl because KMnO4 being a strong oxidizing agent oxidises HCl to Cl2 and get itself reduced to Mn2+. So actual amount of oxalic acid in solution can not be determined.
