The place which has lesser temperature will be cooler.

Given that

The minimum temperature on a particular day at A = $- 4^{\circ}$ C

and the minimum temperature on a particular day at B = $- 1^{\circ}$ C

We know that, $- 4^{\circ}$ C < $- 1^{\circ}$ C.

So, A is cooler than B.

Hence, option (a) is true.
