Amy bought 3 m of cloth for ₹ 150 to sew some shirts. When she started working she realized that she would need a bit more cloth to complete the shirts. So she placed an order for another 35 m of cloth. What is the total cost of clothes?

Price of 3 m of cloth = ₹ 150
=> Price of 1 m of cloth = ₹ 150 ÷ 3 = ₹ 50

We need to find the price of 35 m of cloth, which will be 3 times the price of 15 m of cloth.

Price of 15 m of cloth = ₹ 50 ÷ 5 = ₹ 10
=> Price of 35 m of cloth = ₹ 10 × 3 = ₹ 30

So, Total price of cloth = ₹ 150 + ₹ 30 = ₹ 180
