Solution

The correct option is D 570 km/hr
Let A be position of aeroplane & B is position of observer at time t
OA=960 m
OB=x, horizontal distance &
AB=y, actual distance of aeroplane from observer at time t
dxdt=720km/hr is rate at which aeroplane is moving over an observer &
dydt= rat6e at which aeroplane is approaching to the observer
y2=x2+(960)2=x2+(0.960)2(i)
Differentiating art t, we get
2ydydt=xy.dxdt
y=1600m=1610=86km
6425=x2+(0.96)2
x=6425(0.96)2,x=4025=21050
dydt=(2105)(58)×720
=18010=569.2 km/hr
Option D is correct
