Question

An aeroplane flies 3000 500 km in the same time at rain cover 600 km is the speed of the aeroplane is 50 km per hour more than 5 times the speed of the train what are the speed of the train and aeroplane

Open in App
Solution

Let speed of train be 'x km/hr'

then speed of aeroplane will be '5x+50km/hrs'

distance =speed ×time

Distance/speed = time

since time taken by train and aeroplane is same then
3500/5x+50=600/x
3500x =30000+3000x
500x=30000
x=60km/hr

train speed =60km/hr

and aeroplane speed is
(5×60)+50
=350km/hr
