An aeroplane flies 3500 Km in the same time a train covers 600km . If the speed of the aeroplane is 50km/h more than five times the speed of the train , what are the speeds of the train and the aeroplane ?

Let speed of aeroplane $=x$ and obtain $=y$

as given in question

$\frac{3500}{x}=\frac{600}{y}$

or $35y=6x$ $\to \left(1\right)$

also given $x=5y+50$ $\to \left(2\right)$

using equation $\left(2\right)$ in equation $\left(1\right)$, we get

$35y=6(5y+50)$

$35y=30y+300$

$\therefore 5y=300$

$\therefore y=60km/h$ then $x=5y+50$

$=300+50$

$=350$ km/h.
