An aeroplane flies 4000 km in 5 hours. How much distance will the aeroplane cover in 7 hours at the same speed?

Given:
Distance travelled by the aeroplane in 5 hours = 4000 km
Now, let the distance travelled by the aeroplane in 7 hours be x km.
∴ Ratio of the time durations of the aeroplane's flights = Ratio of the distances covered by it in the respective times
5:7=4000:x=57=4000x 4000=5×800x=7×800=5600

Thus, the distance travelled by the aeroplane in 7 hours is 5600 Km.
