The aircraft starts from A making an angle α with AB. Find the correct relation between v and y for the aircraft to reach point B.

The correct option is D vcosα=ycosθ
We know
vAg=vAω+vωg
where all the terms have standard meanings.

Now, putting values according to question :
vAg=(vcosα^i+vsinα^j)+(ycosθ^iysinθ^j)

For the resultant velocity of aircraft to be oriented along AB, the x component must be 0.
i.e vcosαycosθ=0
vcosα=ycosθ
