Total alloy be $100 k g$
Then copper $= 30 k g$
Zinc $= 40 k g$
Nickel $= 100 - (40 + 30) = 30 k g$
$100 \to 30$
$1 \to \frac{30}{100}$
$20 k g = \frac{30 \times 20}{100} = 6$
$6$ kg of nickel is present in $20$ kg of alloy.
