Solution

Let say alloy 1 consists of metal m1 and m2 in ratio 1:2 and alloy 2 consists of metal m1 and m2 in ratio 2:3.
Now, combining both the alloys to form a new alloy.
So, according to given information 1x+2y=17 and 2x+3y=27
Where, x,y represents metal m1 and m2
2(172y)+3y=27y=7
By replacing y=7, we get x=3
we need to take first alloy 3 parts and second alloy 7 parts
