An alloy contains 32% copper, 40% nicket and rest zinc. Find the mass of the zinc in 1 kg of the alloy.

In an alloy,

Copper =32%

Nickel =40%

Rest is zinc =100-(32+40)

=100-72=28%

$\therefore$ Mass of zinc in 1 kg

=28% of 1 kg

$=\frac{28}{100}\times 1000$ gm =280 gm.
