Therefore, Percentage of zinc in the alloy = $100\%-(40\%+32\%)$

$=100\%-72\%$

$=28\%$

Then mass of zinc in one kg of alloy = $1$ kg $\times$ $28\%$

$=\frac{1000\times 28}{100}$ gm [As $1$ kg=$1000$ gm]

$=280$ gm
