An alloy of copper and zinc contains 65% of copper. Find The weight of zinc in 3.6kg of alloy.

An alloy contains 65%of copper

So, In 3.6kg of alloy the weight of copper = 65% of 3600gram [ 1kg=1000gram]

So, 3600×65100=2340gram or 2.34kg [ 1kg=1000gram]

Hence, the weight of zinc is 3.6kg-2.34kg=1.26kg

Therefore, 1.26kg zinc is present in 3.6kg of alloy.
