An alternative voltage $E=200\sqrt{2}\sin \left(100t\right)V$ is connected to a $1\mu F$ capacitor through an ac ammeter (it reads rms value). What will be the reading (in mA) of the ammeter?

resistance due to capacitor $R_c$= $\frac{1}{\omega c}$
here $\omega$ = 100 rad/s
c = 1 $\mu F$ = ${10}^{-6}$ $\mu F$
so current reading I = $\frac{V_{rms}}{R_c}$
$V_{rms}$ = $\frac{E}{\sqrt{2}}$ = $\frac{200\sqrt{2}}{\sqrt{2}}$ = 200 V
$\therefore$ reading of ammeter I = $\frac{200}{\frac{1}{100\times {10}^{-6}}}=20mA$
