Solution

The correct option is D 8f7
We know from Doppler's effect in sound that when a source of sound approaches to a stationary observer , the apparent frequency of sound heard by observer is given by ,
f=fvvvs ,
where f= original frequency of sound ,
v= velocity of sound ,
vs= velocity of source of sound ,
now if vs=v/8 ,
then apparent frequency heard by observer f=fvvv/8 ,
or f=fv7v/8 ,
or f=8f/7
