Solution

The correct option is C 3.01
36.5 gm of HCl dissociates to 1gm of H+

1 gm of HCl dissociates to(136.5)gm of H+

35.67 mg i.e.,35.67×103 gm of HCl dissociates to(136.5×35.67×103) gm of H+

=(136.5×35.67×103)mole of H+

As 35.67 mg is added to distilled water to form a solution of 1 lit.

Concentration of H+

[H+]=[136.5×35.67×103]mollit

=0.9773×103mol/lit

pH=log10[H+]

=log10[0.9773×13]=3.01
