We know that If the sum of the two angles is 180°, the angles are said to be supplementary angles and each angle said to be the supplement of the other.

Let x° be an angle.

Then, the supplement of x° is 180°-x°.

Given,

x°=23180°-x°3x°=2180°-x°3x°=360°-2x°3x°+2x°=360°5x°=360°x°=360°5x°=72°

Hence, the required angle is 72°.
