Given:

m=30
fe=5 cm

We know that, in case of the least strain on eye, the final image is formed at infinity.

So, |ue|=|fe|

Now, magnification due to eyepiece,

me=D|ue|=D|fe|

me=255=5

Further, we know that total magnification by the compound microscope,

m=mo×me

30=mo×5

mo=6

Hence, option (A) is the correct answer.
