An ant first travels from P to R on a right-angled triangle PQR which is q equals to13m.Then it walks to point Q travelling p equal to 12m.If the sum of p,q and r is 30m find the displacement and distance travelled by the ant?
Displacement: 5m , Distance: 25m
Total Distance Travelled = PR + RQ = q + p = 13 + 12 = 25m
Initial position is P and final position is Q.
And as we know length between initial and final position is Displacement.
Since, p + q + r = 30m
Therefore, r = 30 - (p + q) = 30 - 25 = 5m.
So,total Displacement = PQ = r = 5m.
