Solution

The correct option is D Friday
There were 2 apples on the tree on Sunday. The tree will produce double the number of apples each consecutive day.

On Monday, the tree produces 2×2=22 apples.

On Tuesday, the tree produces 22×2=23=8 apples.

On Wednesday, the tree produces 23×2=24=16 apples.

On Thursday, the tree produces 24×2=25=32 apples.

On Friday, the tree produces 25×2=26=64 apples.

On Saturday, the tree produces 26×2=27=128 apples.

Half the number of apples that it produced on Saturday would be 1282=64 apples.

So, on Friday, the tree will produce half the number of apples that it produces on Saturday.
