Solution

The correct option is B NH3
Option (B) is correct.
The gas X will be NH3.
(i) Ammonia gas turns red litmus blue thus it is basic in nature.
(ii) Ammonia reacts with copper sulphate to form deep blue coloured complex [Cu(NH3)4]SO4.
CuSO4+4NH3[Cu(NH3)4]SO4(deepbluecolour)
(iii) Ammonia reacts with ferric chloride to form brown ppt of ferric hydroxide.
FeCl3+NH3+H2OFe(OH)3[brown ppt]+NH4Cl
Brown precipitate of ferric hydroxide is soluble in dilute HNO3.
