(1) It gives brown ppt. of MnO2 with alkaline KMnO4 solution. 2KMnO4+3H2O22MnO2+3O2+2H2O+2KOH.
(2) On reaction with chlorine, hydrogen peroxide forms HCl and oxygen. Cl2+H2O22HCl+O2.
(3) On reaction with acidified KI solution, hydrogen peroxide liberates iodine. 2KI+H2O22KOH+I2.
(4) With acidified titanic sulphate solution, hydrogen peroxide gives orange yellow colour.Ti(SO4)2+H2O2H2SO4−−−H2[TiO2(SO4)2]per titanic acid.
