Solution

The correct options are
A The primary valency of the complex is 3
B The secondary valency of the complex is 6
C The complex is [Co(NH3)6]Cl3
On adding excess AgNO3, the complex produces 3 moles of white precipitate and thus, 3 Cl ions has to be outside the co-ordination sphere. So, the formula of the complex should be [Co(NH3)6]Cl3.
The primary valency is the oxidation number of the central metal atom which here is +3.
The secondary valency is the coordination number, since 6 ammonia ligands are co-ordinated with Co, the secondary valency of the complex should be 6.
