Solution

An aqueous solution of metal nitrate P is silver nitrate. When silver nitrate is added to sodium bromide , it will form yellow precipitate of silver bromide , which is Q. Silver bromide is used in photography. The reaction will be :
AgNO3 + NaBr AgBr + NaNO3

Silver bromide on exposure to sunlight will form silver metal and brown coloured bromine gas will be produced. The reaction will be :
2AgBr Sunlight 2Ag + Br2
