No of Army Contingent Members= 616

No of members in Army Bands= 32

Situation Given---> Columns should be equal and maximum in number.

The situation can be found out by finding the HCF of number 616 and 32 .

By Euclid's division lemma,

616=32*19+8

32=8*4+0

Since remainder equal 0 at this step . HCF of 616 and 32 is 8.

Required Answer--> The maximum number of columns in which they can march is 8 columns.
