Answer :

The army general wants to have number of rows equal to number of columns.

Let the number of rows = Number of column = x

55 soldiers left out in that arrangement . So

x2 = 6455 - 55

x2 = 6400

x2 = 802

x = 80

So,
Number of rows = Number of column = 80 ( Ans )
