Given : MP = ₹ 275.

Discount% = 5%

Discount = $\frac{5}{100}\times 275$ = ₹13.75

SP = ₹275 - ₹13.75 = ₹261.25

Let the Cost Price be ₹ y

As per problem,

y + $\frac{4.5}{100}\times$ y = 261.25

$\Rightarrow$ $\frac{104.5}{100}$ y = 261.25

$\Rightarrow$ y = $\frac{261.25\times 100}{104.5}$

$\Rightarrow$ y = ₹250
