An article is sold at a profit of $5\%$. if it was sold for $Rs250$ more, the gain would have been $10\%$. Find CP of the article.

Let C.P $=x$

Original S.P $=\frac{105}{100}x$

S.P to earn more $=\frac{105x}{100}+250$

$\frac{105x}{100}+250=\frac{110}{100}\times x$

$105x+25000=110x$

$5x=25000$

$\therefore x=5000$
