An article is sold from Jodhpur(Rajasthan) to Indore(MP) for ₹ 8000 and then from Indore to Bhopal(MP). If the rate of tax under GST is 12% and the Profit made by the dealer in Indore is ₹2000 , then find the Net GST payable by the dealer in Indore.

SP in Jodhpur = ₹8000

IGST = 12% of ₹8000
= 12100×8000
= 960 [0.5 Marks]

CP in Indore = ₹8000 and Profit = ₹2000

SP in Indore = 8000 + 2000 = ₹10000 [0.5 Marks]

CGST = 6% of ₹10000 = ₹600 [0.5 Marks]

SGST = 6% of ₹10000 = ₹600 [0.5 Marks]

Net GST payable by the dealer in Indore = Output GST - Input GST [0.5 Marks]

= ₹600 + ₹600 - ₹960
= ₹240 [0.5 Marks]
