An artificial silk thread and pure silk are burnt. How do they smell? If a woollen fiber is burnt, Does it smell like burning pure silk or artificial silk?

Dear Student, The smell of the burning of real silk will be like the smell of burnt hair whereas when synthetic silk is burnt, it will produce smell like plastic.Woollen fibre when burnt will give smell like pure silk.Regards
