Energy supplied to athlete by consuming 100gofglucose=1560kJ
Energy utilised in event =50100×1560
=780kJ
Energy left as excess in body =1560780
=780kJ
44kJ energy is required to evaporate = 18gH2O
780kJ energy used to evaporate = 18×78044 of H2O
=319.09g
Thus, athlete should perspire 319.09g of H2O in order to avoid storage of energy in body.
