An atom of an element has two electrons in the outermost M shell. State ?electronic configuration; ?atomic number; ?number of protons; ?valency of this element

Since the element has 2 electrons in it s M shell, so
there will be 2 electron in K shell and 6 electrin in L shell
(i) Electronic configuration : 2,8,2
(ii) Atomic number is 12 as there are 12 electrons
(iii) Number of protoon = to numer of electron = Atomic number = 12
(iv) Valency is 2 (+2) as it can loose 2 electrons from outer most shell
