The correct option is B carbon
Given, mass number = 14 and number of neutrons = 8.
Atomic number = Number of protons
Number of protons= Mass number - Number of neutrons
So, number of protons = 14 - 8 = 6. Thus, atomic number of the element is 6.
Carbon has the atomic number 6.
Since, isotopes are the atom of same element having same atomic number but different mass number, so it is an isotope of carbon. Carbon-12, carbon-13 and carbon-14 are the isotopes of carbon.
