When the switch is brought to the ‘ON’ position, the bulb does not glow. There could be the following reasons for it:
(i) Loose connections between terminals of cell, bulb or switch. [0.5 marks]
(ii) Connecting wires may be broken. [0.5 marks]
(iii) The cell may be a used one. [0.5 marks]
(iv) The bulb may be fused. [0.5 marks]
