The voltage of electric iron =220V

Power of electric iron =1KW

Step 2: Calculation of resistance:
The formula for finding the power when voltage and resistance is given is:
P=V2R,
Where PisthePower,VistheVoltage,RistheResistance

So, for determining the value of resistance we will put the given value in above expression,

Thus the value of the resistance will be

R=V2P=220×2201000=48.4Ω

Hence, value of the resistance of the electric iron will be 48.4Ω
