Solution

Step 1: Given data

Power input P=1500W

Voltage difference V=250V

Rate per unit r=2.5perkW-h

time t=60hours

Step 2: To find out the energy consumed

The formula for the current in the circuit is H=P×t

H=P×tH=1500×60W-h.H=1500×601000=90kW-h.

Thus, the energy consumed60hoursis 90kW-h.

Step 3: To find out the cost of electrical energy consumed

The formula for the cost will be =r×H

cost=r×Hcost=2.5×90cost=225

Thus, The cost of electrical energy consumed at2.5perkW-h is225.
